四川人民出版社隶属新华文轩出版传媒股份有限公司，系公司旗下最大的出版社，也是我国中西部地区最有影响力的综合性出版社之一。新华文轩出版传媒股份有限公司是我国首家H+A股上市的，集出版、发行一体的大型文化集团。

四川人民出版社在岗员工120余人，其中高级编辑30余人，年出版图书1000种，现有在版图书近5000种。图书涉及政治、经济、文学、哲学、历史、法律、文化、旅游、工具书等多个方面，拥有名人传记、学术图书、财经图书、文学文化等优势产品线。1980年代因出版“走向未来丛书”在中国产生巨大的思想冲击波，影响深远。

数十年来，全社出版了一大批具有思想价值、学术价值和文化传承价值的优秀图书，上百种图书包揽中国“国家图书奖”等重要奖项。

Sichuan People’s Publishing House Co., Ltd. (SCPPH), established in 1952, is the leading comprehensive state-owned press in Southwest China, and is the largest and the oldest member of Xinhua Winshare Publishing and Media Co., Ltd. Currently SCPPH publishes 1000 titles per year, covering wide subjects, including politics, history, economy, philosophy, law, literature and culture, and more than 100 books were awarded national or provincial prizes.

A great deal of books for foreign readers have exerted good influence outside China, and over 100 titles have been published in 17 countries and regions as America, Britain, Germany, Russia, Egypt, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Arab region.The highlight title The Character of China has been signed into 16 different languages and exported to many Countries. The export titles are about Fiction, Biography, Chinese Classic Study and Social Science.

SCPPH also works hard on National Translation Funding application these years to help foreign publishers to cover part of the translation cost, and over 30 titles were funded till now.
