Under the leadership of the Communist Party of my country, the prevention and control of schistosomiasis in China has made tremendous achievements that have attracted worldwide attention, and made important contributions to the building of a well-off society in an all-round way and poverty alleviation. This book comprehensively reviews the glorious history of the party and the government leading the people in the epidemic area to "send the plague god", systematically summarizes our country's rich experience in schistosomiasis prevention and treatment, vividly portrays the selfless and dedicated health guard against schistosomiasis, and deeply interprets the spirit of schistosomiasis control in the new era. This book truly records this great movement to practice the core values of socialism, involving a large amount of precious literature, many of which are published for the first time, providing successful experience for my country's public health practice, highlighting the role of Chinese practice and theory in cracking the world of schistosomiasis. 作者简介 About the Author

周晓农，中国疾病预防控制中心寄生虫病预防控制所（国家热带病研究中心）研究员。世界卫生组织热带病合作中心主任，国家卫生标准委员会寄生虫病分委员会主任委员，世界卫生组织西太区被忽略热带病专家委员会委员主席,世界卫生组织疟疾根除专家顾问委员会委员，世界卫生组织热带病研究与培训特别规划署顾问委员会委员，中国血吸虫病杂志主编，Infectious Diseases of Poverty国际杂志主编。1994年获丹麦哥本哈根大学博士学位，2008年获卫生部有突出贡献中青年专家荣誉称号，2010年获中华预防医学会公共卫生与预防医学发展贡献奖，2011年获上海市优秀学科带头人。从事寄生虫病防治研究工作30余年，研究涉及生态学、种群生物学和热带病流行病学。与国家和国际上的多机构合作领导了10多个研究气候变化和疾病传播领域的控制策略、决定因素、干预评估、创新建模等项目，承担了国家自然科学基金重大项目、国家科技传染病重大专项、世界卫生组织、加拿大IDRC基金资助项目等。在国际学术会议上作邀请报告50多次，获中国专利授权2项，参与编写出版专著8部，获省部级一等奖2项、二等奖5项、三等奖2项。在New England Journal of Medicine， Lancet， Lancet Infectious Diseases， Emerging Infectious Diseases等国际专业杂志上发表SCI期刊源论文200余篇。

Zhou Xiaonong is a researcher at the Institute of Parasitic Disease Control and Prevention (National Center for Tropical Diseases), Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Director of the World Health Organization Tropical Disease Cooperation Center, Chairman of the Parasitic Disease Subcommittee of the National Health Standards Committee, Chairman of the World Health Organization’s Western Pacific Region Neglected Tropical Disease Expert Committee, Member of the World Health Organization Malaria Eradication Expert Advisory Committee, World Health Organization Tropical Member of the Advisory Committee of the Special Planning Agency for Disease Research and Training, editor-in-chief of Chinese Schistosomiasis Journal, and editor-in-chief of Infectious Diseases of Poverty International Journal. In 1994, he received a doctorate degree from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2008, he was awarded the honorary title of Young and Middle-aged Expert for Outstanding Contributions by the Ministry of Health. In 2010, he was awarded the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Development Contribution Award of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association. In 2011, he was awarded the Shanghai Outstanding Discipline Leader. Engaged in parasitic disease prevention and control research for more than 30 years, research involving ecology, population biology and tropical disease epidemiology. Cooperated with national and international multi-institutions and led more than 10 projects to study control strategies, determinants, intervention evaluations, and innovative modeling in the field of climate change and disease transmission, and undertook major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and national science and technology infectious diseases. Major projects, World Health Organization, Canadian IDRC funded projects, etc. He has made more than 50 invited reports at international academic conferences, obtained 2 Chinese patent authorizations, participated in the compilation and publication of 8 monographs, and won 2 provincial and ministerial first prizes, 5 second prizes, and 2 third prizes. He has published more than 200 SCI journal source papers in international professional journals such as New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Lancet Infectious Diseases, Emerging Infectious Diseases.
