内容简介 Synopsis

作者以在地的观察视角，从空间、物质、人物着眼，考察一个东北工业城市具体层面上的景观与抽象意义上的城市内涵。那些正在变化或已经消失的事物，逐渐成为现代精神的象征。记录东北城市的日常景观，这既是普通的，又是特殊的，它意味着我们必须诚实地面对这片土地的过去、现在与未来，那些生长的、消失的事物，正蕴藏着我们未曾仔细了解的现代精神，属于中国城市的现代精神。

The author investigates the concrete landscape and abstract connotation of an industrial city in Northeast China from the perspective of space, material and character. To document the everyday landscape of northeastern cities, which is both ordinary and special, means that we must honestly face the past, present and future of this land, the things that grow and disappear, which contain the modern spirit of Chinese cities.

作者简介 About the Author

徐前进，东北师范大学历史文化学院教授，北京大学历史学博士，曾在伯明翰大学、巴黎政治学院、巴黎高等师范学院访学。著有《流动的丰盈：一个小区的日常景观》《驶于当下：技术理性的个体化阐释》《一七六六年的卢梭：论制度与人的变形》，译有《启蒙运动的纲领〈百科全书〉序言》，近年来致力于思考日常生活状况以及相关理论，以实践性的写作开拓文字制度的边界，发掘此时此地的思想意义。

Xu Qianjin is a professor at the School of History and Culture of Northeast Normal University. He has a doctor's degree in history from Peking University. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Birmingham, Sciences Po and ENS Paris. He has written Flowing Abundance: The Everyday Landscape of a Community, Driving in the Present: An Individualized Interpretation of Technical Rationality, Rousseau, 1766: On Institutions and the Transfiguration of Man, translated from The Program of the Enlightenment, Preface to the Encyclopedia.In recent years, he has devoted himself to thinking about daily life and related theories, exploring the boundary of the writing system with practical writing, and exploring the ideological significance of the here and now.
